Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Project Manager to lead and deliver flood risk management projects. You will oversee delivery from planning to implementation and handover, working with suppliers, clients and technical specialists to ensure compliant, timely outcomes.

You will build high-performing teams, apply governance, manage risks and coordinate with partners to secure funding and approvals. Regular travel to sites and partner offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Experienced in project and contract management.
• Areas of expertise that would support role include feasibility assessment, asset management, business case development, cost monitoring/forecasting, scope preparation, CDM, engineering design and construction.
• Experience in a project and contract management environment, ideally within engineering, construction and/or flood & coastal risk management.
• A track record for delivering results on technically challenging projects through coordination of a technical team.
• The ability to mentor and support your teams in delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills as relationship management of both internal and external stakeholders is an important aspect of the role.
