Job summary

Environment Agency in the Midlands region is seeking a Project Manager to lead flood risk management studies and schemes. You will oversee projects from feasibility through design, construction and handover, working with tight governance and commercial controls.

You will coordinate a multi-disciplinary team, mentor colleagues, and build relationships with stakeholders and partners to secure consents and funding while travelling to sites and partner offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, environmental or geography related discipline.
• Ideally working towards chartered membership of ICE, CIWEM or APMP but not essential.
• Experience in project and contract management; able to lead complex multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver challenging flood risk management projects from planning through to handover.
• Manage project delivery with governance, commercial and risk management in mind.
• Mentor and develop team members; build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Travel to project sites and partner offices as required.
