Job summary

The Environment Agency is seeking a Project Manager to lead and deliver exciting projects including flood risk management studies and schemes that reduce flood risk to communities and protect the environment.

You will oversee delivery from strategic planning through feasibility, design, and handover, coordinating with suppliers, clients, and technical specialists while ensuring governance and risk management. Regular travel to project sites will be required as part of the Midlands hub team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects including flood risk management studies and schemes.
• Oversee project delivery from initial planning through implementation and handover.
• Support teams and build high-performing relationships with suppliers, client representatives, technical specialists and partners.
• Apply governance, project assurance, and risk management practices.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to negotiate consents, approvals and external funding.
• Travel regularly to project sites and meetings, including occasional overnight stays.
