Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Production Operative for a chilled food manufacturing site in Chessington. This role offers clear progression to Level 2 and Level 3 with pay increases as training is achieved. Shift Pattern : 4 on / 4 off, 07 : 00–19 : 00

Pay : £12.30 during initial 16 weeks

Progression
  • Level 2 (expected at 16 weeks) : £13.30 per hour
  • Level 3 (further training) : £14.54 per hour
Role Overview

We’re recruiting Senior Production Operatives for a busy chilled food manufacturing site. This role offers a structured pathway to Level 2 by week 16, with many progressing to Level 3 soon after. Ideal for experienced operatives who want long-term stability and clear career development.

Key Duties
  • Production line tasks : portioning, packing, weighing, labelling
  • Operating manual and semi-automated machinery
  • Quality checks and accurate record keeping
  • Maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards
  • Reporting issues and supporting team performance
  • Meeting productivity and quality targets
Requirements
  • Previous food production / manufacturing experience preferred
  • Food Safety Level 2 (or willingness to complete at start)
  • Strong reliability and commitment to full 16-week programme
  • Able to work in chilled environments and complete 12-hour shifts
  • Good communication and ability to follow instructions
  • Physically able to lift up to ~15 kg and stand for long periods
