UCLH is seeking a highly motivated Senior Procurement Business Partner to join our award‑winning procurement team on a 10‑month fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave, starting in February 2026. This role is pivotal in supporting the Trust’s corporate portfolio, delivering value, compliance, and innovation across key operational areas.

About the Role
- Lead strategic sourcing and contract management across IT, Estates & Facilities, Finance, HR and other categories.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions aligned with UCLH’s strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and NHS frameworks.
- Drive sustainability, social value, and commercial innovation in procurement activities.
- Provide expert advice and support on complex procurement projects and supplier negotiations.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience in strategic procurement, ideally within healthcare or public sector environments.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and non‑clinical categories.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- MCIPS qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
- A proactive, analytical, and collaborative approach to problem‑solving.

Person Specification – Knowledge & Qualifications (Essential)
- Recognised continuing professional development at an advanced level.
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
- Strong understanding of the various levers of unlocking value from procurement and supply chain, such as sourcing, tendering, demand management, standardisation and contract management.
- Understanding of the EU Directives and Public Contract Regulations, NHS standard terms and conditions of contracts and sound knowledge of contract law.
- Advanced IT skills including knowledge of specialist software for contract management, electronic catalogue and e‑procurement systems to ensure efficient use of procurement enablement technologies (eg e‑auctions).
- Ability to analyse and interpret spend data and quotations, as well as undertake market analysis.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel.
