Job description

Process Engineer – Pharma / FMCG | London-Based | Up to £75k + Travel | Contract or Perm

Global Engineering Talent is partnered with a specialist consultancy to appoint a Process Engineer with a rare blend of Pharma and FMCG manufacturing experience. This role sits at the intersection of process design, building integration, and client delivery — ideal for someone who is adaptable, technically strong, and able to operate confidently in evolving project environments.

This position is London-based with structured international travel as part of project delivery.

The Role

As a key technical lead, you will support the definition, design and optimisation of complex manufacturing processes across both primary and secondary production environments.

You will work across live manufacturing facilities, design offices, and client workshops, contributing to :

  • Process design and development for vacuum systems , gas systems , and critical utilities.
  • Engineering input across cleanroom Pharma environments and high-volume FMCG lines .
  • Ensuring alignment between the manufacturing process and the building process , working alongside architectural, MEP, and construction teams.
  • Client engagement — driving clarity, challenging assumptions, and becoming a trusted delivery partner.
  • Supporting commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement stages.

This is a delivery-focused role for someone who enjoys variety and ownership.

What We’re Looking For

This role suits engineers who have developed within flexible, multidisciplinary consultancies where they’ve had to be hands‑on, adaptable, and commercially aware — not engineers who have only operated in rigid, siloed, mega‑organisation structures.

You will bring :
  • Strong experience across both Pharma and FMCG manufacturing environments.
  • Technical competency in vacuum , gas handling , and process utilities.
  • Understanding of how production processes integrate with building systems and facility layout.
  • Ability to lead client discussions with confidence and clarity.
  • A dependable, solutions-driven approach — someone trusted to deliver.
  • Comfort working across concept design, detailed engineering, and live operational environments.
  • Experience across both primary and secondary processes.
Package & Engagement Options

You can join either on a permanent or contract basis :

  • Permanent : Up to £75,000 + benefits.
  • Contract (LTD) : Approx. £45 per hour .
Location & Travel
  • Base : London
  • Travel : Planned international travel to support project phases and client sites.
Why This Opportunity?

This role offers the chance to step into a position where your technical range and adaptability genuinely matter.

You will be a core part of a consultancy team trusted to deliver complex, high-value manufacturing projects for global clients.

You will have influence.

You will have ownership.

And your engineering expertise will directly shape outcomes.
