What you’ll do

  • completing, reviewing and approving process models, process flow diagrams, mass balances, process sample surveys and P&IDs
  • reviewing and approving technical reports, designs and drawings for compliance with our health and safety, technical, legal and environmental standards
  • ensuring that investigations and appraisals provide the best value engineering solutions whilst considering risk and value, whole-life costs and carbon emissions
  • providing technical guidance and mentoring to support Process Engineers in developing appropriate and cost-effective solutions
  • attending design review meetings to explain design solutions and address any challenges or risks.

This hybrid role combines the flexibility and autonomy of remote working while remaining connected to the team in Bath.

What you’ll need

You’ll ideally have experience in a process engineering role, with a track record of delivering high-quality process outputs and supporting more junior team members.

You’ll have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with good verbal and written communication.

You’ll also need :
  • a degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
  • chartered professional status of an appropriate institution
  • extensive wastewater process design experience
  • a master’s degree or higher in a process-related area (preferred).

  • A combined pension contribution of up to 20%.
  • Career progression and professional development opportunities.
  • 25 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
  • The opportunity to sell up to five days of holiday every year.
  • The opportunity to buy up to ten days of holiday each year (subject to conditions).
  • A healthcare package that allows you to claim back healthcare costs.
  • Life assurance of up to eight times your salary.
  • The opportunity to lease a new electric car through salary sacrifice (subject to conditions).
  • Cashback and discounts from more than 3,000 retailers.
  • One paid volunteering day each year.
