Qualifications

• Background in highways (S278/S38), drainage, and residential development design.
• Experience with 3D software such as Site3D, Civil 3D, or PDS (preferred).
• Proven experience supporting multi-phase or large development sites (preferred).

Role

As a Senior / Principal Technician, you will support engineers in delivering high‑quality design outputs across highways, drainage and development infrastructure.

• Produce detailed civil engineering drawings for drainage, S278/S38 highways, levels design and residential layouts.
• Develop construction detail databases and maintain drawing standards across the team.
• Undertake quality checks on drawings and ensure CAD standards are followed.
• Support engineers in developing design solutions and technical details.
• Draft bespoke design details from engineer sketches or specifications.
• Maintain large‑scale site‑wide drawings, including topo compilations and title plan assemblies.
• Develop and maintain engineering legends, keys and template standards.
• Work closely with developers, architects, and local authorities.
• Support the wider regional teams through knowledge sharing and best practice.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 6 years’ experience as a civil engineering technician.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD (essential) and Site3D (preferred).
• Background in highways (S278/S38), drainage and residential development design.
• Experience with 3D software such as Site3D, Civil 3D, or PDS (preferred).
• Proven experience supporting multi‑phase or large development sites (preferred).
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.
• Comfortable coordinating with local authorities, developers and architects.
• Must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
