Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical delivery on water resource projects across the UK. You will mentor developing engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, innovative solutions for major infrastructure and water clients.

The role offers hybrid working with three days office/site-based, and opportunities to contribute to nationally significant programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with IMechE or equivalent, or ability to become chartered within 12 months.
• Proven experience delivering mechanical engineering solutions in water projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical engineering solutions for water resource projects across all lifecycle stages.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable, integrated designs.
• Provide technical guidance, support and assurance to engineers and technicians.
• Develop and review technical reports, calculations, specifications and design packages.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
• Identify opportunities to create additional value for clients and communities.
