Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical delivery for UK water resource projects. Hybrid role with mentoring responsibilities across a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions and client collaboration.

You will contribute to feasibility studies, asset improvements and major capital programmes, working with major water frameworks and national projects. Commitment to innovation and sustainability is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery on mechanical engineering solutions for water resource projects through all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, sustainable, and innovative engineering solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and assurance to engineers and technicians, mentoring and coaching.
• Develop and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings and design packages.
• Build strong relationships with project teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovation and adoption of new technologies.
