AtkinsRéalis Group in the UK is seeking a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team in Manchester. You will lead technical delivery on water resource projects across the UK, mentor engineers, and work with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

This role offers hybrid working (3 days office/site), opportunities to work on major frameworks with UU and Yorkshire Water, and pathways to technical leadership and chartered status while contributing

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered or Incorporated status with IMechE (or ability to become chartered within 12 months).
Experience leading technical delivery in the water sector or transferable background.
Strong communication and team leadership for multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to innovation, sustainability and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical engineering delivery for water resource projects through all lifecycle stages.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, sustainable solutions.
Provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and technicians within project teams.
Develop and review technical reports, calculations, drawings and design packages.
Build relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
