Due to new project wins and continued growth, we are recruiting Senior Piping Engineers to join our Nuclear, Defence and Civil division. Responsibilities
- Act as a design coordinator, managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and collaborating with project managers and discipline team leaders.
- Prepare detailed design reports, specifications, and component datasheets.
- Perform engineering calculations and review/approve engineering reports, calculations, and drawings.
- Provide guidance to mechanical designers on plant layout and component specifications.
- Liaise with other engineering disciplines, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Lead and participate in design coordination meetings, both internally and externally.
- Provide procurement and construction support for ongoing projects.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure version control.
- Offer professional advice on mechanical engineering matters to both internal and external clients.
- Continuously develop professional knowledge and skills to stay ahead in the field.
- Ensure compliance with corporate health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Chartered status with the IMechE or other relevant professional body (or equivalent experience with progression towards chartered status).
- Proven experience in delivering engineering design and consultancy services.
- Background in highly regulated industries (preferably nuclear; oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or rail experience will also be considered).
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and legislation, with experience delivering work packages to clients.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Self‑motivated, able to work on own initiative, and manage time effectively.
Travel & Security
Travel may be required within the UK or abroad for site visits and meetings. Offers for this role are conditional upon obtaining the appropriate level of Security Clearance.
