Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Thameside, a category B Prison located in London.

Hours

This is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.

Salary

You will receive an annual salary up to £48,200 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support the development of junior staff.
  • Oversee the administration and medicines management, working across our primary care and substance misuse wings.
  • Provide health promotion advice to our men on topics such as smoking cessation, hypertension, healthy living, and other minor ailments.

Qualifications required
