Senior People Advisor 6-Month FTC

Location: London (Holborn), 2/3x days a week

Salary: £52,000

The Opportunity

A dynamic, growing organisation is seeking a capable and people-focused Senior People Advisor to join its People team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing hands‑on delivery with advisory work and wants to play a meaningful role across the full employee lifecycle.

Working closely with People Business Partners and People Operations, the People Advisor will act as a trusted first point of contact for managers and employees, delivering high‑quality HR support while ensuring compliance, consistency and a positive employee experience.

What You’ll Be Doing
HR Advisory & Employee Relations
  • Provide first‑line HR advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures and employment legislation
  • Support employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances and performance management
  • Coach and guide managers on best practice people management, escalating complex matters where appropriate
  • Build trusted relationships by handling queries with professionalism, empathy and discretion
Employee Lifecycle & HR Administration
  • Manage end‑to‑end onboarding and offboarding, including contracts, right‑to‑work checks, inductions and exit interviews
  • Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and employment legislation
  • Track absence, holiday and sickness, producing reports and insights for leadership
Recruitment & Talent Support
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear communication and timely updates
  • Coordinate pre‑employment checks and onboarding documentation
  • Support recruitment activity in partnership with People Business Partners, aligning with workforce planning
Performance, Engagement & Development
  • Support the performance management cycle, ensuring objectives, reviews and development plans are completed
  • Collate and analyse performance data for reporting to HR leadership
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives including surveys, internal communications and learning activities
  • Maintain HR trackers, KPIs and reporting dashboards
Payroll, Benefits & HR Projects
  • Collate monthly payroll changes and liaise with external payroll providers to ensure accuracy
  • Manage relationships with benefits providers, supporting renewals and employee enrolment
  • Assist with HR projects, policy updates and people initiatives
  • Support DE&I activity and contribute to continuous improvement across the People function
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and produce regular and ad hoc reports
What You’ll Bring
  • 2-4 years’ experience in an HR administration or advisory role
  • A strong HR generalist foundation, with exposure to employee relations, recruitment and performance management
  • Working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice (global exposure beneficial)
  • Experience drafting HR documentation with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 (advantageous but not essential)
