Job summary

NEOS Engineering is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead service operations across two depots in Newark. You will manage day-to-day activities, balance workshop and field work, and ensure high standards of safety and quality for customers.

You will build and mentor a team of fitters and service engineers, plan workloads, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with parts and aftermarket teams to minimise downtime. A hands-on leader with a strong technical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on service manager with technical background in plant, machinery or heavy equipment.
• Experience leading engineers across multi-site operations.
• Strong planning, problem solving and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day service operations across two depots.
• Lead, support and develop fitters and service engineers.
• Plan workload to optimise labour and keep jobs moving.
• Act as main contact for customers on service issues and expectations.
• Monitor performance, productivity, costs and KPIs; report progress.
• Coordinate with parts and aftermarket teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all work meets health and safety, compliance and quality.
• Support recruitment, training and development within the service team.
