Job summary

A recycling and waste management company based in Greater London is seeking a Senior MRF Engineer to lead a team of engineers. The ideal candidate must possess strong hydraulic experience and have skills related to electrical qualifications. Responsibilities include performing repairs and maintenance on equipment, fault finding, and ensuring safety in the maintenance area. This role demands efficient leadership and quick assessment of technical issues, with an emphasis on teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Hydraulic experience is essential.
  • Experience working on conveyer belts, motors, gearboxes, and tail and head drums is desirable.
  • Single or 3 phase electrical qualifications or experience is required.
  • Welding skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance servicing to all equipment.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance works to all equipment, especially the MRF.
  • Fault finding on equipment.
  • Carry out electrical refit/design where requested.
  • Responsible for maintaining spare part stock levels.
  • Ensure maintenance work area is kept clean.
  • Transfer knowledge to other staff members.
  • Ability to lead and work in a small team of engineers.
  • Assess the cause of any breakdowns on the MRF.
