About the role

The Management Information CoE sits within Boots IT and is responsible for all regular reporting across Boots UK, from Exec level daily updates to store level performance reporting, as well as supporting financial month-end. We are transitioning our suite of reports as we move to use Azure and Power BI.

The MI team is in a unique position within Boots, working with data from across the entire business, so attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks are key.

As a Senior MI Analyst within this team, you will be responsible for the design, delivery and maintenance of our extensive suite of reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment to our MI principles. Our reports have thousands of daily users, so maintaining efficient performance is essential.

Responsibilities

Design, deliver and maintain the extensive suite of MI reports; ensure accuracy; work with the wider team and stakeholders to confirm fit for purpose and alignment to MI principles; optimise performance for thousands of daily users.

What you’ll need to have
  • Experienced in data visualisation using Power BI to deliver meaningful dashboards that drive performance improvements and aid decision making.
  • Demonstrable advanced technical ability whilst also being willing and capable of adapting to new tools as they're introduced.
  • Must have a proven and extensive track record of adding value within a commercially focused data analysis role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to deal effectively with individuals across levels and functional boundaries.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities as requirements evolve and proactively identify opportunities for the business.
Nice to have
  • Experience of other related tools such as ADF, ADO, Git and Powershell
  • Experience using DataBricks
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA
  • Knowledge of Power BI External tools like Dax Studio, etc
  • Experience using SAP BW
