Senior Mechanical Engineer

Ceto Talent are working with an infrastructure engineering business to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This is a permanent role offering a salary between £45,000 and £52,000 depending on experience.

The position will see you working closely with the Chief Engineer, taking ownership of specialist projects, supporting technical development, and providing engineering authority on a range of infrastructure schemes.

Responsibilities
  • Leading R&D and technical projects, from design through to delivery.
  • Producing and reviewing fabrication drawings, installation manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Carrying out engineering calculations and providing guidance on technical developments.
  • Managing costs, timescales, and quality to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors and internal teams on installation and reinstatement.
  • Supporting the commercial team by providing technical insight and identifying opportunities for innovation.
  • Engaging with suppliers and stakeholders to maintain best practice in fabrication and engineering delivery.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health & safety procedures and statutory requirements.
What we’re looking for
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in Hostile Vehicle Mitigation / structural engineering and project leadership.
