Are you an experienced Engineer looking to make a significant impact within a global leader in medical technology? I am currently recruiting for a Senior Manufacturing Support Engineer to join a world-class Manufacturing Operations team based in Winnersh. This is a permanent, office-based role offering the opportunity to work with life-saving infusion products while driving innovation in manufacturing processes.
Salary: £60,000 - £63,000 per annum + benefits.
Location: Winnersh, Wokingham Office Based.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Travel: Occasional travel (approximately 2-3 times per year) to supplier sites.
The Senior Manufacturing Support Engineer provides high-level technical expertise to sustain existing infusion products and introduce new solutions to the market. Your core focus will be on safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
Technical Leadership: Deliver leadership for projects and transitions, ensuring all technical elements are organised and meet budget/timeline requirements.
Team Management: Indirectly manage and guide engineering teams within the Operations department, providing direction and mentoring to staff.
Problem Solving: Provide engineering solutions for complex issues through structured analysis, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies and FMEA to drive improvements in manufacturing processes and product design.
Lifecycle & Obsolescence: Lead initiatives addressing product obsolescence, including manufacturing line transitions and resolution strategies.
Compliance: Ensure all activities meet strict regulatory standards and quality systems, including risk management and validation for engineering changes.
We are looking for a proactive professional with strong technical expertise in product design and manufacturing processes.
A degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering, including assembly, machining, PCBA manufacture, and plastic injection moulding.
Proficiency in FMEA, tolerance analysis, configuration control, CAD, and PLM systems.
Proven ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams within a highly regulated environment.
Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
