Job summary

A leading multi-national manufacturing company in Dordon is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to handle PLC controls and maintenance tasks. This role offers a salary of up to £65K plus benefits. Responsibilities include planned maintenance, handling breakdowns, and improving machinery performance. Ideal candidates should have expertise in PLC faultfinding and relevant electrical qualifications. Shift work is involved.

Qualifications

  • Minimum NVQ level 3 in electrical qualifications.
  • Experience in PLC faultfinding and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with high-speed production machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned and breakdown maintenance on PLC controls.
  • Update records of maintenance tasks and parts used.
  • Work with internal departments to improve machine reliability.
  • Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns.
  • Analyze data to enhance performance and reliability.

Snr Maintenance Engineer • 90% PLC controls, 10% maintenance • Up to 65K + Company benefits • 12-hour shifts including days and nights • Dordon

Company

THE COMPANY: My client is a leading multi-national manufacturing company. They are currently recruiting for a multi skilled maintenance engineer to supplement their existing team.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out a wide range of planned and breakdown maintenance on PLC controls and assist on a variety of high-speed production machinery, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience of fabrication would also be advantageous.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Expert PLC faultfinding skills
  • Electrical qualifications minimum NVQ level 3
  • Experience of maintenance on high-speed production machines
Role Working within the Maintenance Team
  • Carry out planned maintenance across a manufacturing site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed
  • Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and training given
  • Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance
  • Respond to and diagnose PLC and occasionally equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and arranging repairs
  • Analyse data to find solutions to improve MHE performance, providing reports where necessary
  • Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard
