Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own deployment architecture and champion an enterprise Kubernetes platform. You’ll optimize day-to-day delivery across an on-premise estate and shape migration strategies with strong autonomy over CI/CD pipelines and guardrails.

You’ll collaborate with TechOps and engineering teams to standardize configurations, build scalable deployment pipelines, and implement robust observability.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for a people-first culture.
• Deep Ansible experience: roles, inventories, vault, idempotency.
• Production Docker and Docker Compose familiarity.
• Solid networking fundamentals.
• Scripting with Bash and Python.
• Experience with GitOps: ArgoCD or Flux.
• Observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager or equivalents.
• Pragmatic, iterative delivery with security-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment guardrails for Kubernetes platforms.
• Collaborate with TechOps to shape self-service workflows and standards.
• Migrate and containerise workloads to Kubernetes with phased rollout.
• Build and maintain deployment runbooks and templates.
• Define and improve observability and incident response processes.
• Create developer self-service docs to enable safe self-serve.
