Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to champion deployment architecture and advance our Kubernetes platform across on-prem environments. You’ll drive CI/CD pipelines, guardrails, and modernisation while collaborating with engineering squads to ship value safely.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, autonomy, and building scalable, observable systems. Strong Ansible, Docker, and GitOps experience are essential for success in this fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for collaboration in a people-first culture.
• Deep experience with Ansible: roles, inventories, vault, idempotency, etc.
• Production experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Solid networking fundamentals understanding.
• Strong scripting abilities in Bash and Python.
• Experience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager or equivalent).
• Ability to plan pragmatically and deliver iteratively within existing constraints.
• Methodical, security-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment architecture and CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based workloads.
• Work with TechOps to design self-service workflows and guardrails.
• Migrate and containerise workloads to Kubernetes, starting with non-critical environments.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, manifests, and self-service documentation.
