NPAworldwide is seeking an experienced Software Technical Lead to stay hands-on while guiding a skilled team on a Central Government project in the UK. You will drive architectural decisions, build scalable systems and communicate clearly with clients.

The role blends leadership with hands-on development in a collaborative Agile environment. Key tech includes Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript, with emphasis on AWS cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines and robust security practices.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Java development experience.
• Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern delivery practices.
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of software engineers.
• Design, develop and test bespoke software solutions.
• Provide technical direction and client communication.
• Create architectures and technical designs.
• Build full-stack apps with Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript.
• Design and deploy cloud-based solutions on AWS.
• Create CI pipelines using GitLab.
• Cover full SDLC from requirements to maintenance.
