Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead to stay hands-on while guiding a software team on a central government project. You will design, develop, and test bespoke applications, while shaping architectures across the full stack (Java, JavaScript, React, TypeScript) and cloud deployments on AWS.

You’ll work in a collaborative Agile environment, delivering secure, scalable solutions and mentoring engineers, with hybrid working and a focus on CI/CD and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Java development experience.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems and cloud-based solutions.
• Familiarity with AWS and full-stack development using JavaScript/React/TypeScript.
• Proven ability to lead engineers and provide technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of software engineers.
• Designing, developing and testing bespoke software solutions.
• Providing technical direction and communicating clearly with clients.
• Producing solution architectures and technical designs.
• Building full-stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript.
• Designing and deploying cloud-based solutions on AWS.
• Creating CI pipelines using tools such as GitLab.
• Working across the full SDLC from requirements through delivery and maintenance.
