NPAworldwide is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead for a Central Government project in the UK. You will lead a collaborative Agile team while remaining hands-on, shaping architectures and delivering complex software solutions.

Responsibilities include leading engineers, designing systems, and delivering cloud-based applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript, with AWS as the primary cloud platform.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Java development experience.
• Experience designing and building AWS-based solutions.
• Full-stack development with JavaScript, React and TypeScript.
• Prior experience leading engineers or providing technical direction.
• Understanding of software architecture and technical design.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to translate customer challenges into practical technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of software engineers.
• Design, develop and test bespoke software solutions.
• Provide technical direction and communicate with clients.
• Produce solution architectures and designs.
• Build full-stack apps using Java, JS, React and TS.
• Design and deploy cloud-based solutions (AWS).
• Create CI pipelines using GitLab.
• Work across the full SDLC from requirements to delivery and support.
• Deploy software into public and private clouds and ensure quality.
