Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to head a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, development, configuration and verification of HVDC Control and Protection systems within an international project environment.

You will provide technical leadership, manage budgets and schedules, and work with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver compliant, high-integrity solutions across the project lifecycle. Travel globally is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering and project leadership.
• Experience in application engineering in controls, protection, automation, HVDC, and grid-connected systems.
• Experience in project execution of HVDC or similar.
• Experience in design and system integration on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Controls & Protection of HV & LV systems.
• Ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams and manage time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers across control, protection, automation, HV/LV systems.
• Provide technical leadership to project team including Tendering, Commissioning, Service and 3rd parties.
• Support Project Manager and deputise when required.
• Plan and progress all design engineering activities including testing and commissioning.
• Monitor budgets, risk, design reviews and change control per guidelines.
• Lead problem solving for HVDC control & protection and automation.
• Collaborate across functions for efficient execution.
