Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Control Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team focusing on HVDC control and protection systems. You will model DC systems, AC network equivalents and renewable integration, validating through PSCAD and RSCAD tools, and lead technical reviews to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with power systems and power electronics subjects or proven equivalent HVDC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Model HVDC systems in PSCAD/RTDS and validate with AC networks.
• Lead technical discussions and reviews, identifying risks and proposing safe solutions.
• Develop and update control, protection and sequencing strategies per customer specs.
• Support project planning to include studies, milestones and cost considerations.
