Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking experienced HVDC Cable Project Engineers at Professional and Senior levels to join our Offshore Project Engineering Team. Based in Scotland (Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness), you will help drive forward the Pathway to 2030, delivering state-of-the-art HVDC cable projects across land and sea.

You will lead FEED activities, promote safety-in-design and provide technical leadership while mentoring junior engineers to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum BEng/BSc in engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in HVDC or HVAC cable projects.
• Understanding of EPC contracts and CDM regulations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support FEED activities: options assessment, route development, landfall selection, risk assessment.
• Promote safety-in-design and manage CDM duties as part of project team.
• Review contractor design deliverables for compliance with requirements.
• Supervise installation and commissioning per Employer's regs.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence.
