Job summary

SSEN Transmission's Offshore Directorate is seeking an HVDC Project Engineer to join the Engineering team under the Pathway to 2030 programme. This permanent, full-time role requires based-from one of our Scottish locations: Glasgow, Aberdeen or Inverness, with flexible first options available.

You will support major HVDC infrastructure delivery, coordinate design assurance, review contractor deliverables, and collaborate with technical authorities and specialists while promoting safety and

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in project engineering, ideally HVDC, power transmission or energy infrastructure.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities with problem-solving focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design assurance activities and support project governance and stage-gate documentation.
• Review contractor deliverables for main plant equipment and auxiliary systems for compliance with requirements.
• Collaborate with authorities and engineers to review and approve engineering deliverables.
