Jacobs is seeking a Senior Associate Director HV Cable System in the UK to lead design delivery for 400kV cable projects from tender to handover. You will develop cabling specifications, provide technical support, prepare tender docs, and ensure interfaces with other teams and clients across HV/EHV systems.

You will perform complex cable calculations, reviews and ensure regulatory compliance, while guiding team members and maintaining strong client relationships.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
• Experience in consultancy, contractor or utility within the energy sector.
• Extensive experience in a cable-related role supporting FEED and/or detailed design.
• Able to manage and lead HV/EHV cable designs at all project stages.
• Experience using CYMCAP to support cable system design.

Responsabilidades

• Develop HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept/detailed design and design review.
• Provide technical support to the team on HV cable system engineering and design.
• Prepare plant and equipment specifications and tender specs.
• Ensure interface with other engineering functions and attend meetings with clients and subcontractors.
• Perform technical calculations including cable size, rating, TMF and EMF calculations.
• Conduct design reviews and verify designs.
• Ensure compliance with CDM, legislation and company procedures.
• Assist with temporary works design schemes.
• Maintain good relations with client/designer/team and supply chain.
• Ensure drawings/specs contain sufficient information for construction and request missing data timely.
• Ensure inspection and test plans are completed and support FATs.
• Establish best practice in health, safety and environmental matters with SHQE.
• Advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements for works control.
