Jacobs is seeking a Director - HV Cable System Design to lead the delivery of HV cabling projects up to 400kV in the UK/Europe. You will guide FEED to detailed design, provide expert technical support, and ensure interfaces across engineering teams and clients are managed effectively.

You will apply CYMCAP for cable system design, perform critical calculations, and drive design reviews to meet safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive energy sector consultancy or utility experience.
• Proven ability to lead HV/EHV cable design across all project stages.
• Experience with FEED and detailed design support.
• Familiarity with National Grid and DNO standards.
• CDAE and TP141 authorisation is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design delivery for Cable System Projects up to 400kV from tender through handover.
• Provide technical support on HV cable system engineering and design.
• Prepare plant/equipment specifications, power cable route specs, tender specs, reports.
• Coordinate with other engineering functions; attend meetings with clients and subcontractors.
• Perform cable size, rating, TMF/EMF, sheath voltage calculations and other analyses.
• Ensure designs comply with CDM regulations and company procedures.
• Assist with temporary works design schemes and risk assessments.
