Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Design Engineer for a client in Hampshire. This hybrid role allows for significant remote work. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and experience in HSE Concept and both onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects. Key responsibilities include producing safety deliverables and managing safety actions for the project.

Qualifications

• Experience in HSE Concept, Basic/FEED, and Detail Engineering.
• Experience with both onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce project safety deliverables, including HSE Plans and HSE Philosophy.
• Attend and participate in safety workshops such as HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP.
• Manage and sign off on safety actions.
• Act as Project Discipline Lead, ensuring timely issuance of deliverables.

Overview

I am currently looking to speak with an experienced Senior HSE Design Engineer to join a client based in Hampshire.

Hybrid: 12 days per month to work remotely + 1 day carry over to next month. As such typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.

Projects: Carbon Capture / Onshore / Offshore / Hydrogen / Renewables

Responsibilities

• Produce project safety deliverables, including HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy, and Terms of Reference for safety workshops.
• Attend and participate in safety workshops such as HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, and SIL.
• Manage and sign off on safety actions.
• Liaise with clients and occasionally with external stakeholders.
• Act as Project Discipline Lead for a UK project, ensuring timely issuance of deliverables to support the project schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering
• Must have experience in HSE Concept, Basic/FEED, and Detail Engineering, for both onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
