Job summary

A regional health authority in Wales is seeking a Senior Biomedical Scientist to manage histology services and lead training initiatives. You will oversee technical activities while providing leadership within the Cellular Pathology Department. The ideal candidate will have a relevant MSc qualification, HCPC registration, and experience as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Cellular Pathology. Welsh language skills at Level 1 or willingness to attain are desired in this role.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent qualification required.
• Registration with HealthCare Professions Council (HCPC) essential.
• Experience as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the routine histology services and departmental training.
• Manage technical activities of the histology laboratory.
• Provide cover for other sections of the Cellular Pathology Department.
