Job summary

Plantforce is seeking a Senior Hire Desk Controller for Weston-super-Mare with responsibility for the Weston, Exeter and Liskeard hire desks. Lead and support the team to deliver compliant, efficient plant hire services, managing on-hire/off-hire processes and contributing to strategic improvements.

You will build strong client relationships, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with Transport, Sales and Workshop to ensure accurate contracts and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Team Leader role or equivalent.
• Strong customer-service orientation and relationship management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Weston, Exeter and Liskeard hire desk teams and depots when required.
• Coordinate on hire/off-hire processes and ensure compliant, efficient service.
• Provide insights, KPIs and reporting to the Line Manager.
• Arrange hire contracts for equipment bookings and manage invoicing details.
• Coordinate with Customers, Transport, Sales and Workshop to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor contracts and invoicing accuracy; maintain up-to-date equipment details.
• Develop and nurture relationships with customers to drive service levels.
