Qualifications

  • Fully Qualified LGV workshop Technician with desired skills for business progression.
  • Knowledge of IT and fleet management systems.
  • HGV license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Technicians and manage workload and compliance.
  • Perform vehicle/trailer repairs and inspections.

Senior HGV Technician

Location: Hull

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Overtime paid at 1.3

Shift: Days - 7am - 5pm and 8am - 6pm - 1/2 Saturdays 8-12

About your new company

My client is a large family-run logistics company who are now looking for a skilled Senior HGV Technician to lead a motivated team of technicians in their Hull workshop, as the workshop foreman you will oversee the day to day running of the workshop & support the technicians in the below duties

About your new Senior HGV Technician role
  • Overseeing Technicians, in charge of maintaining stock levels, managing workloads and scheduling quality and compliance documentation ensuring clear communication/team work.
  • Perform day to day vehicle/trailer repairs and inspections in the workshop and also at other sites
  • Undertake the maintenance of equipment and ancillary equipment to manufacturers and company standards and procedures.
  • Ensure that all relevant administration and documentation are to the correct standard. (Service sheets, Job cards, parts) working with the admin team
  • Liaising with the drivers and traffic department to ensure all the vehicle Servicing, defects and issues are dealt with straight away.
  • A solid understanding of electrical systems, fleet management systems and DVS compliance
Requirements
  • Fully Qualified LGV workshop Technician who has the desirable skills to progress within the business
  • HGV Level Qualification.
  • Knowledge of IT, fleet management and Diagnostic Systems.
  • Welding and Fabrication Skills.
  • HGV license
