Job description

Role - Senior Florist / Lead Florist

Job type: Full Time role - 5 days/week including one weekend day (with occasional early mornings).

We are looking for an extremely skilled and confident florist to be our lead florist across retail, events and contracts.

This role will require the individual to work closely alongside the Company Directors, and the other team members, particularly the studio and shop manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities will include:-

  • This is mainly a floristry role, so the key requirement will be to confidently produce beautiful floristry in the Grandirosa style across retail, events and contracts;
  • Effectively supporting the shop manager and the studio manager as required;
  • Some project and event management (mainly supporting the studio manager as the lead florist);
  • May require attending client-briefing and meetings for events, weddings etc;
  • Managing client enquiries (phone and email);
  • Being the lead florist on installs, emulating the Grandirosa style to ensure everything runs smoothly and looks perfect;
  • Helping to create a positive working energy in the studio and shop;
  • Working with the team to organise transportation of goods (flowers, props, etc);and
  • Driving the company van if required.

The ideal candidate will: -

  • have a minimum of 5 years experience working as a florist;
  • be positive, enthusiastic, diligent and proactive;
  • hard working with a professional approach/attitude;
  • comfortable working on their own initiative as well as working within, and being able to motivate, a team;
  • be confident in a client facing role; and
  • have a full, clean, driver's licence.
