Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a Principal or Associate consultant with experience in Water EIA, Flood Risk, and Sustainable Drainage to lead and deliver technically complex projects for major infrastructure clients.

Based in Birmingham, you will guide a 3-person water EIA/flood risk team, coordinate with the Sustainable Water Management group, and manage risk, budget and timelines while developing new services.

Qualifications

• Experience in Water EIA and Flood Risk delivery.
• Ability to lead or contribute to technical inputs and teams.
• Knowledge of UK planning and EIA processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery and manage client interfaces.
• Supervise inputs from team and ensure high-quality outputs.
• Develop proposals and identify opportunities.
• Balance schedule, budget, and quality; ensure health and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior colleagues.
