Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal or Associate consultant to lead Water EIA, Flood Risk and Drainage studies for major infrastructure projects. You will direct a senior team, manage client interfaces and coordinate with cross‑functional specialists across the Sustainable Water Management group.

You will deliver complex water environment studies for projects such as energy schemes and large highways, while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to growth of the national team within WSP.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing Water EIA, Flood Risk and Sustainable Drainage deliverables.
• Leading or major contribution to technical inputs for planning and permitting.
• Knowledge of UK planning and EIA regulatory context.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery, client interface and internal coordination to meet requirements.
• Work with senior colleagues to develop opportunities and successful proposals.
• Manage scope, programme, budget and safety standards on projects.
• Lead water EIA and flood risk teams and support office growth.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
• Grow the firm's technical capability and develop new services.
