Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal or Associate consultant to lead Water EIA, Flood Risk and Sustainable Drainage projects within our Birmingham-based Sustainable Water Management team. You will direct and mentor a small team, manage client relationships and deliver technically complex studies for major infrastructure schemes.

You'll work across the UK as part of a national team, contributing to planning and permitting activities, DCO examinations and environmental permit applications while upskilling

Qualifications

• Experience managing Water EIA, Flood Risk and Sustainable Drainage deliverables.
• Leadership of technical teams for planning/permitting major infrastructure projects.
• Track record in delivering complex water environment projects and client/stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of UK EIA/regulatory context and DCO processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery and manage interfaces with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with UK-wide teams to develop opportunities and successful proposals.
• Manage projects with attention to programme, budget and safety standards.
• Provide leadership for water EIA and flood risk teams and support office growth.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior colleagues.
• Grow technical capability and innovation for clients.
