Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Birmingham is seeking a Principal or Associate consultant experienced in managing Water EIA, Flood Risk Assessments and related drainage studies. The role directs teams on technically complex projects for a range of clients.

The successful candidate will lead water EIA and flood risk studies to support major infrastructure projects, while collaborating with the Sustainable Water Management team and other technical areas.

Qualifications

• A degree in an environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline is essential.
• Chartered status with one of the listed bodies is preferred.
• Experience leading or contributing to Water EIA, FRA and WFD inputs for major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery for Water EIA, Flood Risk and related studies, coordinating inputs from team members.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to ensure high-quality outputs on time and within budget.
• Develop proposals and opportunities with senior colleagues across Sustainable Water Management and Earth & Environment teams.
• Direct and mentor junior colleagues, supporting professional development.
• Contribute to growing WSP’s technical capability and innovation base.
