Senior Fire Engineer / Principal Fire Engineer - Location: London / Manchester / Dublin

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our Teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Senior Fire Engineer /Principal Fire Engineer to join our Building & Real Estate Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We’re looking for a proactive, flexible and reliable Senior Fire Engineer /Principal Fire Engineer to join our Ireland office, with experience in a similar role and who possesses a recognised fire safety engineering qualification. Working across a variety of projects both autonomously and as part of a wider Team, it is key that you are able to work efficiently as part of a Team, as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and construction fire safety strategies
• Prepare fire safety assessment for external walls
• Prepare other technical engineering analysis such as CFD Modelling, Structural fire engineering, etc.
• Carry out site visits when required
• Provide fire safety advice
• Write fee proposal letters
• Liaise with client on a regular basis

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, structural, civil, or a similar field)
• Involvement and recognition with a professional body
• Proven background in fire safety and a good understanding of fire engineered solutions
• At least two years’ experience in fire safety engineering
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
