Job Title: Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

Location: London / Hybrid (typically 2-3 days in the office)

Salary Range: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Reporting to: Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

Type: Permanent | Full-time | Hybrid (flexible working considered)

Overview

This role sits at the heart of a business undergoing a period of significant transformation, with a strong focus on modernising financial processes and strengthening financial planning and insight. The Senior FP&A Analyst will play a key role in shaping financial decision‑making by providing high‑quality analysis, clear financial narratives, and forward‑looking insights to senior stakeholders. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to make a tangible impact in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly business performance packs, including detailed analysis and commentary
  • Consolidate financial performance across multiple product lines, highlighting key drivers and emerging trends for senior management
  • Partner with commercial finance leaders to understand performance, standardise reporting, and ensure consistency across trading teams
  • Work closely with financial control to gain transparency into monthly ledger activity, including payroll journals and accruals
  • Analyse exceptional spend and ensure accurate allocation to relevant business units and project codes
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long‑term financial plans
  • Assist with M&A‑related activity, including monitoring and evaluating post‑acquisition performance
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis to support trading performance reviews and identify potential cost‑saving opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the FP&A team to drive continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or a similar analytical finance role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present clear insights
  • Confidence engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • High attention to detail combined with the ability to step back and assess the bigger picture
  • A proactive, ambitious mindset with a strong desire to drive improvement
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, time‑pressure environment
  • Desirable but Not Essential:
    • Prior experience within insurance or financial services
    • Exposure to M&A activity or post‑acquisition financial integration
    • Experience supporting large‑scale transformation or change initiatives
