Job description

As a Senior Estates Surveyor you’ll be instrumental in managing and optimising our property portfolio across the UK. You’ll deliver strategic estate management across a large geographical region ensuring our assets support business priorities and deliver long-term value for our restaurants franchisees and customers.

What You’ll Be Doing :
  • Manage a diverse commercial property portfolio for a Global brand
  • Lead lease negotiations, rent reviews, renewals and land acquisitions / disposals
  • Provide strategic advice on estate optimisation, cost control and asset performance
  • Liaise with landlords, agents, solicitors and internal stakeholders
  • Support store redevelopment and relocations
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and internal governance
  • Prepare and present property deals, valuations and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Advise on planning development rating systems, compulsory purchase and compensation
  • Represent McDonalds in industry bodies such as RICS PMA and Accessible Retail
Qualifications: What You’ll Need :
  • MRICS qualified with 5 - 6 years post-qualified experience in estates or property management
  • Strong knowledge of UK landlord and tenant law, property legislation and commercial leases
  • Experience managing large complex property portfolios, ideally in retail or FMCG
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently across a wide geographical area
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
  • Experience in QSR food retail or global brand (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with sustainability and ESG in property management (Desirable)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills including use of property management systems
