A leading healthcare provider in Huddersfield is seeking a Senior Estates Officer (Electrical) to manage operational delivery of estates services. CHS are looking to appoint a highly experienced estates professional to the role of Senior Estates Officer (Electrical). The successful applicant will be responsible for operational management of the estates electrical department including inhouse resource and contractors, ensuring all works meet statutory and mandatory compliance, ensuring adherence with industry standards and best practice ie: HTM and HBNs and internal policies and procedures, providing assurances to the deputy managing director and ultimately the CHS Board of Directors and ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
§ Responsible for the operational delivery of estates technical services at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, including, estates building and engineering services maintenance and associated contracted service and contract management. Ensuring the provision of a safe, supportive, and sustainable environment for patients is maintained in accordance with any statutory or mandatory requirements including a CQC rating of "GOOD" as a minimum standard.
§ Responsible for ensuring all associated policy and procedures are developed, reviewed, and implemented as required.
§ Must be prepared to support and cover for other Estates and Facilities Divisional functions as required within the range of skills, knowledge and experience as agreed with the General Manager Technical Services.

The Inter-Authority Transfer (IAT) process is a critical and beneficial component of ESR and following interview your previous NHS employment data, if applicable will be transferred from your current / most recent employer.
You may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £54.40, Standard £26.40 or Basic £26.40) from your salary when you commence in post (including Internal staff). For Enhanced and Standard DBS checks you will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £16 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment.
