Job Description

INSIDE IR35
HYBRID WORKING - 3 DAYS IN LONDON
As part of a wider Responsible Investment (RI) transformation, a recent external review has highlighted opportunities to standardise processes, remove constraints, and elevate the firm’s ESG offering for clients. You’ll take ownership of turning these recommendations into an actionable programme of work and delivering measurable outcomes across data, platforms, process, and governance.
Responsibilities
- Change strategy & roadmap: Translate review outputs and the business roadmap into a clear, sequenced strategy for change, with executive-level buy-in.
- RI & data platform overhaul: Drive improvements to deliver higher-quality, standardised ESG data and consistent workflows across Front Office.
- Research integration: Unify on-desk investment research and RI research to streamline decision-making.
- Tech due diligence: Assess options for platform changes (build/buy), including external vendor identification, selection, and commercial negotiation.
- Target operating model: Evolve the operating model to align people, process, and technology to best-in-class standards.
- Engagement tracking: Stand up an engagement tracker project to align processes and measure effectiveness.
- Governance & metrics: Define desk-level engagement metrics for RI governance forums; escalate failing engagements with clear recommendations on investment actions.
- Objectives & incentives: Advise on embedding engagement goals within investment desk objectives.
- Outcome focus: Produce a clear change structure that demonstrably achieves the function’s target outcomes.
Experience
- Proven Senior PM (or Programme Manager) experience within Asset/Investment Management with a strong track record delivering ESG/RI change programmes.
- Confidence operating at C-suite/Board/ExCo level—shaping narrative, influencing decisions, and securing approvals.
- Ability to work independently from the outset, setting up structure, governance, and delivery cadence where needed.
- Strong grasp of the ESG data landscape (providers, taxonomies, integration patterns) and Front Office use-cases.
- Demonstrable experience with data/platform change, vendor due diligence, and contract/commercial negotiation.
- Expertise in target operating models, process standardisation, and cross-desk change in front-to-back environments.
- Clear, concise communication and stakeholder management skills; evidence of driving outcomes over activity.
