A leading technology company in the UK is seeking a Senior Design Engineer with expertise in system design and integration. This hybrid role involves management of technical interfaces, design production, and ensure compliance with contract requirements. A degree or HNC in Engineering, along with chartered status or related industry recognition, is preferred. Location: E16 4TL, East London, London, South East, UK. Senior Design Engineer - Hybrid - some travel as and when required to our Canning Town Office - E16.
Management of technical interface to client discipline engineer. Manage and produce designs. Perform reviews to verify designs are compliant to contract technical requirements. Ensure designs are risk assessed in accordance with CDM obligations. Ensure designs are fully integrated with other disciplines. Manage and produce test documentation to validate the implemented designs. Provide technical support to implementation teams. Produce as-built documentation and associated test results. Report against programme to relevant Project Manager. Drive efficiencies in repeated work scopes through design re-use. Implement robust processes that aim to eliminate telent incurred re-work costs in all delivery phases. Ensure designers are efficiently utilised. Produce resource plans for customer works. Interface with internal and external engineering teams to ensure all works are planned and completed on time. Effective communicator (both written and verbal). Support the evolution of technical support solutions across customer estates, integrating emerging technologies to enhance service delivery. Build and support reference systems through FAT and on-site implementation.
Degree or HNC in Engineering (preferred). Industry recognition such as Chartered Engineer status or MIET membership (preferred). IRSE License, industry recognition chartered, MIET etc.
