As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will use your experience to play an integral part in the business. You will work in a small multidisciplinary team to develop exciting new electronic products for a wide range of applications, including medical devices, wearables, and the Internet of Things.

The Position :
  • Work from customer requirements to define and develop new products
  • Collaborate in a team environment to deliver innovative solutions
  • Design custom electronic circuit boards, including schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Board bring‑up, verification and test
  • Liaise with customers to assist with integration, commissioning and problem resolution

This position involves occasional client meetings and writing technical reports, so a good professional level of written and spoken communication is required.

Required Skills and Experience :
  • Minimum 5+ years of electronics design experience in industry
  • Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Board design, including schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Good knowledge of Analogue and Digital Design, including architecture, component selection, design for manufacture, and design for EMC
  • Experience designing with microprocessors / microcontrollers, memory devices, programmable logic, power supplies, and wireless communications
Advantageous :
  • Experience with WIFI, Bluetooth, Zigbee
  • Experience with Altium Designer
  • C / C++ / Python
  • Embedded software development
  • Prior work in a consultancy or R&D position
Location :

Hybrid / Harpenden, Hertfordshire

Salary :

£55,000 - £65,000 (+Bonus) Commensurate with experience

Hours :

40 hr. per week. Hours are flexible within office hours.
