Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting for Electrical Engineers in the Energy unit to support transmission and distribution projects across the UK. You will lead electrical designs from inception through commissioning, covering 11kV/33kV networks and renewables connections.

The role requires Chartered status, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines. Travel within the UK and overseas may be required, with opportunities to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Chartered engineer with a relevant electrical discipline.
• Proven experience in LV to 33kV design and renewables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate across multi disciplines.
• Experience with bids, proposals, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical designs for major projects from inception to completion.
• Produce tender specifications, calculations, and drawings for 11kV/33kV networks and renewables connections.
• Support development of junior staff and graduates.
• Ensure deliverables meet client scope, time, and budget, and align with statutory/regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external disciplines throughout project delivery.
