Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join our Energy unit, Transmission & Distribution group. The role covers from inception and master planning to detailed design and commissioning on major renewable and grid projects.

You will lead technical design, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to bids, while ensuring adherence to client specifications, standards, and budget. Travel within the UK and overseas is expected.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for specifications and reports.
• Coordinate with multi disciplines both internal and external.
• Some experience in electrical project engineering from LV up to 11kV/33kV.
• Awareness of procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• willing to travel in the UK and overseas as required.
• Initiative, self-motivation and decision-making confidence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions and leadership in electrical designs for major projects.
• Lead bids and proposals and contribute to project planning and execution.
• Mentor junior staff and graduates.
• Ensure deliverables meet client scope and regulatory standards on time and budget.
• Support and develop interfaces with multi-disciplinary teams.
