Zusammenfassung

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Technical Principal to lead electrical design and project delivery across 11kV–33kV networks and renewable connections. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, oversee design reviews, and mentor junior engineers while engaging with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role sits in the Energy unit’s Transmission & Distribution division, with travel within the UK and abroad as required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Chartered Engineer (or equivalent status) is essential.
• Extensive experience in electrical project engineering is required.
• Strong knowledge of 11kV–33kV network design, substations, and HV/LV systems.
• Experience with G99 and tender specifications is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Front-End & Optioneering: capture requirements, assess configurations, lead site surveys, produce client-ready reports.
• Detailed Design: electrical design for 11kV–33kV, cable sizing, substation layouts, and protection schemes.
• Commissioning Support: respond to queries, attend reviews, resolve technical issues.
• Project Leadership: manage scope, coordinate interfaces, lead progress meetings with clients.
• Bid and team development: contribute to bids, build the electrical design team, ensure standards compliance.
